I wanted to make functional ceramic work because I could enjoy the artwork in more ways than I could do with a regular decorative work. I was also determined on incorporate the public transport in one way or another in my final project. After brainstorming different ideas of what functional wares I could make from clay, I decided on making multiple sets of dinnerware or a tea set.
I made an overview of what different wares there are in a typical dinnerware set and marked out the most important ones to prioritize them.
The next stage was to sketch out different designs on the dinnerware. I ended up with a stackable design to make it more ergonomic.
