Description
I have made two sets of dinnerware. The designs are alike, the only difference is the color. The colors are representing the red and green minibus. On each dinnerware, there is an illustration of the minibus, but presented in different angles. The plate shows the minibus from front view. The bowl has an angled street view. The cup has the minibus shown from the side, a profile of the minibus, by the rim. If you look at the inside of the cup, you will find a colored ring with the words “PUBLIC LIGHT BUS” written in white, which is representing the writing on top of the buses. All illustrations are painted with underglaze, while the outer parts and the rim are glazed with PC glazes. The specific glazes are mentioned at the glazing page.
Reflection
As the deadlines for each firing dates were getting closer, I realized I was being too ambitious and optimistic with how much I would be able to create within the time frame. I aimed for 4 identical dinnerware sets and had my expectations for myself set too high. I think I could have made 4 dinnerware sets if I was more patient and less harsh on myself. I still wish I had more time to practice my wheel-throwing skills to be able to make big plates and make extra sets.
